WHAT IS A SIGNET RING?
A signet ring is a ring with a flat top that can be engraved. It began as a working tool, pressed into wax to seal a letter with a family crest, which is where the name comes from. Today it is worn as a statement, the flat face left plain, engraved with initials or a monogram, or set with a stone.
WHICH FINGER DO YOU WEAR A SIGNET RING ON?
Traditionally the pinky, on the non-dominant hand, a nod to the ring's history. Worn on the ring or index finger, it looks more modern. There is no wrong finger, only the one that feels right.
